Services

ANMET is a network of Australasian providers of professional maritime education and training consultancy services, committed to delivering quality programs to countries in the Asia/Pacific and Indian Ocean regions. Its services are aimed at enhancing the ability of countries in this region to meet their international obligations in maritime safety, marine environment protection, maritime law, commercial shipping and fishing industry requirements.

Each ANMET member organisation provides 'world best practice' and is focused on meeting new directions and changing technologies within the maritime industry.

ANMET has training development specialists who can design and implement tailored maritime training programs using technology-based education methods.

Through its member organisations ANMET can deliver an extensive range of maritime education, training, consultancy and research services, either on location or from within their own facilities.

Maritime education and training services available include:

• A comprehensive range of accredited vocational programs for the maritime industry, including maritime administration/ government personnel in the shipping, fishing, boatbuilding and shipbuilding and port industries.
• Academic graduate and post graduate courses and research programs in international maritime policy, ocean law and management and maritime security, marine resources law particularly fisheries.
• Oil spill preparedness and response including contingency planning, oil spill response exercises, management and equipment operational training.
• Use of portable maritime simulators for training and student assessment in an extensive range of subject areas from STCW requirements and ISM safety management audits, to bridge resource management and pilot and officer upgrading.
• Other training services extend from basic trade and technical training including maintenance skills to the operation of advanced systems.
• Extensive research and development capability in all aspects of maritime education and training as well as project management services, technology transfer and environmental and economical sustainable resource development
• Full range of services related to integrated coastal and ocean management
