Certificate IV in Maritime operations
[Master up to 35m. Near Coastal]

The course offers theoretical as well as practical knowledge of handling water vessels. Admission to the course allows the students to learn about technical handling of the watercraft.

Course Offer

The syllabus id segregated in two parts. Part I is a full time program of seven-weeks. The course comprises of:

  • Passage Planning
  • Watch keeping
  • Regulations
  • Navigation and Position Determination
  • Vessel Design, Construction and Maintenance
  • Wheelhouse Equipment and Electronic Navigation Aids

Part II is a five-week training program and focus on:

  • Stability
  • Cargo Operations
  • Vessel Handling
  • Crew and vessel management
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry
  • Propulsion and Machinery Operation and Management
Eligibility

Students shall have certification in Shipboard Safety Skill set. Medical fitness certificate is also required before undertaking expedition classes.
